 Out of office reply problem

Hi all, I'm not able to get out-of-office replies in public folder. Is this a default behaviour? or please tell me how to rectify it. The server ver is Exch 2003 in native mode. Regards, Vignesh

You had sent me a private message, more or les indicateing the article link I sent did not help with your problem. Let’s look at this from a troubleshooting point of view.

First, how do you know that you are not recieving OOO messages? Are you getting an NDR? If so, what is the error given?

If you are setting an OOO for yourself and send a message to yourself to test the OOO reciept inthe public folder? If so, is it enabled for within the organization? If you are doing it from an outside account, does it work when sent to other accounts within the organization the Public Folder resides?

Have you checked your SMTP logs to determine what may be happening with the message. Is it attempted to be recieved, or is it not reaching your server?

Have you upped your diagnostic logging? Are there any entries in your event logs relating to this message? If there are, what is the information given?
