OSDB Connection to AS/400

I am trying to connect the UPS Worldship to our AS/400 (V2r3). The data will download into the 400 file just fine when run separately. I have added a trigger to the physical file so that when a record is written to the physical file, an RPG program is initiated that updated several other files. If I run this strictly from the 400 side, it works fine. However, when i run this from WorldShip, WorldShip bogs down. In WRKUSRJOB, there was a SENDMSG under QZDASOINIT, but now it is gone. I never did receive the message. Not all of the files got updated correctly. What is happening? Thanks!

Is this Worldship 10? I take it you are running a batch shipment import via .csv, .mdb or a seperated txt file? Once you create the mapping to your file using the Worldship wizard you need to run the batch import via the menu. Other ways to integrate would be via a direct ODBC link or XML file dumps.

Just a minor note... You shouldn't have a trigger program doing database updates to other files. Have it pass a transaction to a data queue or write a single log record to a basic transaction file. Have a separate program monitoring the data queue or log file, and that program can do the updating. Tom
