I know this is an old question and the poster is probably long gone, but I would like to know how this turned out. I have heard plenty of horror stories about iSeries to Oracle conversions and would like to hear from someone who has actually experienced one.

You can use Infinite iSeries to rehost the native AS/400-based applications. Once migrated you migrate the data and write to Oracle. All the stored procedures are inherent in the Infinite iSeries environment. Btw…you can execute the apps from Linux, Windows, etc. No System i required.

Why go through all the hassle and expense of migrating, buying new hardware and software when you can concurrently run native i5 O/S, windows, Linux and AIX on one System i?
