Hi I'm new to this forum and would like to ask a question about obsolete versions of OS400. I have a 9402-200 that has V3R2 on it however some software options are missing. I am looking for a media or a place I can acquire obsolete versions of OS400.
Any help would be greatful.
P.S. I contacted IBM and they say they have no media for obsolete versions.
Thanks
Phil

Hi Phil
There’s a guy advertises OS/400 restore tapes on eBay UK every couple of months for versions v4r3 and above. It may be worth dropping him an email to see if he can help you with v3r2 tapes. I’ve bought from him before and never had any problems.
His last auction was at http://tinyurl.com/eu6x5 – the auction’s ended but you should be able to contact him from there.
All the best
Jonathan
I don’t know how your sales rep is. An older IBM sales repgent working in my ares was up on his machines. He passed along a name of a local shop that happened to have what I needed. He curriered it over to me. I did my restore and wala we had what we were looking for.
Here is an article I found for a client of a company that resells IBM software.
It may be worth a look
