 OS/400 Upgrade V5R3 or V5R4

We are running a model 825 iSeries with V5R2, our ERP is JDE OneWorld. We are contemplating upgrading to R3 or R4. Are there any contentious issues with either release.

Answer Wiki:
We are also running a model 825, Processing group 2396 AND we are on V5R2. Our ERP is JDE. I have read in MC online that V5R3 will lose its support in less than 11 months.

I am therefore lobbying to install V5R3 only as a step to V5R4.
