Hi There, Does anyone have descriptions of the files and their contained information for the files in Library QUSRSYS. In particular I am looking for where the "Go Backup" and "Go Cleanup" configurations are stored but explanations of the other files in this library will also be extremly usefull for High Availability purposes. Thanks. Best Regrads, Francois Rothmann.

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

Hi Francois

The only reference I have for the QSYS files is the link

http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/iseries/legacy/html/as400/v4r5/ic2924/index.htm?info/RBAM6CLFILES.HTM

which lists all of the files used by CL commands.

I don’t believe that the backup options/configuration are stored in a system file, however, all is not lost.

You can access backup information via some system API’s:

QEZRTBKD – Retrieve Backup Detail
QEZRTBKH – Retrieve Backup History
QEZRTBKO – Retrieve Backup Options
QEZRTBKS – Retrieve Backup Schedule

The Cleanup options/config can be retrieved into a CL program using the RTVCLNUP command.

Hope that helps

All the best
