1. I have liscenced Windows Vista Home Editon, i want to downgrade it to XP, but i dont have liscenced version of XP, shall i be use the same liscence of Vista to install XP. pls help me in this. 2. i want to install visual studio 6 and visual studio 2005 in vista home edition, will it be possible or should we need vista service pack for that?

The basic jist of it is that you have to find a Windows XP CD from somewhere, then install. When you get to the activation screen you have to call Microsoft to get a key. You’ll need to give them your Windows Vista key so that they can mark it as being used to downgrade.

2. Yes that’s possible. You shouldn’t need the Vista service pack.

    You version of Vista has no downgrade rights. You would have to purchase a full versioin of XP. The only Vista with downgrade rights are Windows Vista Business and Ultimate versions. Check this PDF for additional information. Vista Downgrade Rights
