		<description><![CDATA[In our organization the BASIS function is definitely part of the IT structure.  I agree with another posting I saw.  It would be equivalent to the DBA functionality.  However I find that personnel in any BASIS group should be sensitive to the operational side.  Sometimes a BASIS group will install the latest support packs and not realize what it has done to some custom programming.  Just an FYI.]]></description>
