How do I convert Oracle Reports 6i data into a Microsoft Excel through coding on button?

I think you will need to do this from Forms (not Reports). It could be done with the help of the DDE package.

    Hi,

    I know a way without coding and get pretty excel output with colors etc.
    I suggest you to try, it save time and get better excel.
    First please search google for Rep2excel, and then download it.
    Call your oracle reports to output report in html/htmlcss format, and then convert the html file by the Rep2excel tool. The tool will output excel file, retain the layout and format of your report.

    If you want to output excel manually, please try the DDE package.
    But the colors/font sizes are not supported.
