Oracle Forms
hi there... i'm a noob at oracle and i try to withdraw data from a form in order to insert them to a table... here's what i have to do... i have a form which is for the user to provide 'name', 'address1', address2' and 'city'. the last one is a SelectList item! after the 'submit' button is pressed, it's supposed to insert the above data to a table named 'customers'. how do i do that?

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

Broadly speaking, you could set the block to be a ‘database block’ with ‘customers’ as its data source. Then, in the when-button-pressed trigger of the button, you just commit the form.

Or you could have a non-database block, and perform the insert via SQL in the when-button-pressed trigger.

This is very basic stuff. You might want to search the web for some tutorials to get started.
