After gaining some Oracle experience you could try to move to a dba (at least junior) position.

You could also look for a non-profit organization needing help on this area, and offer your services as a volunteer.

But I’m more interested in working towards Oracle DB administration because of its wide market and opportunities, although I haven’t had any practical experience working in Oracle DB. As an initial step in that direction, I have passed an Oracle SQL Expert exam, and am planning to take the rest two Admin 1 and 2 exams of the OCP track. My related question is: Without having any on-the-job experience in Oracle databases, what are my immediate career prospects if I happen to pass all these certification exams. How do I kickstart my career in this direction?
