 Oracle 8i connection error
Hi

I installed windows 7 in one pc and i want to install oracle 8i client on that pc (we need to access crystal report from oracle 8i database) but windows 7 is not support oracle 8i client so i  want to configure oracle 8i database in oracle 10 g client. I tried to configure oracle 8i in oracle 10g  client but that getting error msgORA-03134: Connections to this server version are no longer supported. so i need a solution for this

Answer Wiki:
The database version needs to be at least 8.1.7.4 to be able to connect from a 10g client. Can you upgrade to that patchset ? Also, I think 9i client will connect to 8.1.7.3 servers without any problem. Have you tried installing that version on Win 7 ?

sorry for delay. i cant install patchset on server. and i also tried to install oracle 9i.but it also not support in windows 7.
