Oracle archive log mode
I have two databases A & B. A is a production database and B is an exact cloned copy of A and both are in archive log mode.
I copy archived logs of database A using UNIX FTP binary mode to database server B and manually applied those logs to database B to keep both databases in sync.
When I use recover database using backup controlfile on database B. I got the following error:
ORA-00283: recovery session canceled due to errors
ORA-00356: inconsistent lengths in change description
ORA-00353: log corruption near block 5631 change 1567671451907 time 04/08/2009 02:08:10
ORA-00334: archived log: '/data2/arch/LERS/1_8_683476720.dbf'
