I cant run net8 easy config after installing oracle6i on a machine currently running Developer 2000 forms 5. What do I do. Lekan

hi i faced this once the java applet for net8 assitant doesnt open after installing with dev2000 old version i skipped this part and jumped to updating the tnsnames.ora file manualy , u can copy paste connection configuration from ur old dev2000 tnsnames.ora file to to 6i tnsnames.ora file hope this helps ! awni

The problem is that you have two ORACLE_HOMEs. If you set the correct home it should work. The other thing I’ve seen (especially in older versions) is that the screen resolution settings (color has to be 16-bit or less) can cause the config not to run.
