the best thing to go back your previous one is to this to borrow oem cd from a friend if you have guniune windows product key at the back of your computer then you can use that copy with using your product key, other wise you can order oem cd from microsoft .

Hi above you dont mention anything about installing a cracked copy of Windows so I will assume it is not

First things first
when you installed the trial version of this OS did you do a clean install? because if so then your old OS is indeed gone
So lets say you want to downgrade from Win 7 to Vista
firstly
Open your Windows 7 drive and make sure that you have Windows.old in the root of the drive. We use Windows.old folder to restore Windows Vista from Windows 7. So without Windows.old folder you can’t downgrade to Vista from Windows 7.
Insert your Windows 7 installation disc in the DVD drive and reboot your PC to boot into the recovery environment, select Windows 7 and open a command prompt, then type the following but hit enter after each command
C:

Md Win7

Move Windows Win7Windows

Move “Program Files” “Win7Program Files”

Move Users Win7Users

Attrib –h –s –r ProgramData

Move ProgramData Win7ProgramData

Rd “Documents and Settings”

move /y c:Windows.oldWindows c:

move /y “c:Windows.oldProgram Files” c:

move /y c:Windows.oldProgramData c:

move /y c:Windows.oldUsers c:

move /y “c:Windows.oldDocuments and Settings” c:

D:bootbootsect /nt60 C:

Finally type exit and then reboot your PC to start using your Windows Vista OS. You can now safely delete the Win7 folder in the root of your “C” drive to free up disk space.

When you test a trial is nothing got to do with piracy…it is just for you to test and if you like it buy it..

but yeah if you overwrite your windows, there will no way to turn it back unless you have an image copy before you use your trial…

If you over wrote the old OS when you installed Win 7 trial, then no.

If you installed it as a second OS, then you could try to uninstall the Win 7, and see if you can restore your old OS from an earlier save point. Buying a copy of Win 7 will not help you revert to the old OS. Waste of money, as you want to revert. Don’t quite understand why the previous answer didn’t answer your question.

If your PC has the original MS information label (key etc.) of the previous OS, then you could reinstall it using that to authenticate the install.

So many people get caught with trial installs. MicroSoft should be more responsible, and allow dual installations, purely for this reason.
