OpenOffice on Ubuntu problems with heading style formatting

I have the lateste UBUNTU version and OpenOffice 2.4.1. I am getting crazy: I defined a style Heading 2, for ex. , and each heading with that style looks DIFFERENT. The horizontal position is WRONG. Numbered Items are wrong too.

Install ubuntu 9.10 and u’ll get latest Open office 3.0 and ur problem is solved.

    Maybe the horizontal position (you probably mean left/right indentation?) is not defined in your style, but simply inherited from default? BTW, is your style a paragraph style or a it is a character style? It seems to me there are no major difference in styles functionality between OO2 and OO3. Good luck, Petko
