 Opening PDFs
Hi

I have got Acrobat Reader 8 and Acrobat 5 installed on my system. I have configured it so all my PDFs open with Acrobat Readeer 8 but when I am opening a PDF from a website they always seem to open with Acrobat 5.

I have disabled Web Browser Opening in Acrobat 5 from

Edit --> Preferences --> General --> Options -->Web Browser Options

Yet they seem to open with Acrobat 5, I am thinking there might be a Registry setting that needs to be changed.

I don’t know what browser you are using but try this: for IE you need to go into folder options in the control panel. For FireFox you can set the MIME options in Tools/Options/Applications. Find the MIME type and change it from Acrobat 5 to Acrobat 8.
