It is an open source of Andrew File System / AFS. Each OpenAFS site has its own cell, which is compatible to windows domain (as mentioned by u Samba/OpenAfs bridge). U may use modprobe, which helps to loads AFS into the kernel. And now create partitions for storing AFS volumes. Also u may use pluggable authentication module / PAM for authenticate of afs client computers.
