I need to be able to remote control Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, OS X Leopard and Snow Leopard as well a several Ubuntu machines. Is there a solution for me using open source free applications?

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

There are several VNC programs available both secure and unsecure. Ultra VNC seems to be the most responsive for me. Also MRemote offers you the option to use different protocols in the same front end for connectivity.

I have used Ultra VNC and Tight VNC in the past. As far as I remember Ultra VNC (server) works on Windows OSes only, and Tight VNC has a version that runs on Linux/Unix, but the last version works on Windows only too. There is a program called TeamViewer which I think runs on Linux, Windows and Mac OS.
