They missed IBM vs IBM

When IBM was concerned the the goverment was going to force them to split the company, they formed the National Marketing Division (NMD) and the General Systems Division (GSD). Big Iron (S/360 S/370 etc) vs small systems (S/S, S32, S34, etc)

So when they went into a company to sell a computer, therew were two IBM marketing reps competing against each other.

I definetly enjoyed the Microsoft vs Wordperfect rivalry,  Novell vs Microsoft rivalry (I started out with Novel) and Microsoft vs Fox Pro and who could forget Microsoft and Netscape... Not really a technology company, but I'm impressed with the European Unions battles with Microsoft as well.

So it looks like you were a fan of the Microsoft battles. Which one was your favorite?
