I found this very informative when I was evaluation user migration tools. (Of course I went with the Win7 native Easy Transfer utility)
Windows 7′s XP Mode can help with compatibility, as a last resort (This was a must read for my environment. Sad to say we’ll have XP_Mode in our environment for at least another year or two.)
