Public or private key?

I only ask I am using AES 256 level and am looking for something a bit tougher.

I still wouldn't trust that, I would encrypt the files myself, then if the ISP wants to encrypt my encrypted files thats fine. At least I'd know I had a sufficiently strong encryption on them in the first place.

I use a cloud system for my Car Insurance documents. They are encrypted before being posted to the cloud but when you get stopped on random checks by the police (usually Xmas time when they are looking for drunk drivers) you can sort it all out then and there instead of having to drive to the police station with your docs another day.

That and sending photo's to my sky-drive as soon as I've taken them on the WP7 is the only times I really use a cloud service. I would recommend the WP7 for the photo side of things. Very good services and reliable. Mean's I'm not too worried about my phone being destroyed. Everything is saved elsewhere anyway.

my cable/internet/phone provider has a cloud-based backup solution for my personal computers. It encrypts the data so that it is secure, and also supports sending very large files to email recipients by allowing me to save a file (if it isn't already there from the backups) and send them a link to be able to download it
