I don’t think a PDF file is a format you would want to back up your data to. Were all those backed up into one file or separate files? A PDF is accessible using Adobe Reader (read only)  and if you want to be able to open and edit the data you would need the full version Adobe Acrobat.  Without knowing how or what steps you took to back up your phone , we can only guess how to get your data back in a usable format.

Your question is not clear here. The tag indicated LG phone, then assuming this is your new phone, have you restored all backups on the same phone? You mentioned, PDF is not opened, is PDF did not open in your new phone? Assuming this is Android based phone, and in general, PDF viewer is installed by default on any android based phone. If not, you may install a PDF viewer from google play from your phone.

I can't restore the backups because it says it's a bad file. Anyway my memory is nearly full and I'm not transferring to another phone.

You can get backups from cloud, if you ever synced your phone with cloud, and this procedure is so easy specially if you have Gmail account. Next if your phone memory full, please empty some files/folders and then try again.
