At my school I'm taking social media and I have to write an op-ed writing about 800 to 1000 words.  Do you guys have any idea what I could write about social media.

The teacher  give us only one long example:

how Twitter serves virtually no

purpose in our current day and age and simply should be abolished and removed

from the Internet.

There’s a lot you could write about – I think it depends on your age group and experience with social media. You could write about how social media impacts your educational experience (studying, doing homework etc. and all the crowdsourced information available). Or how the emphasis on abbreviations and images affects communication with your peers and/or how you process information and what that means for the future. It’s all about what you are able to write on confidently.

Welcome to ITKE, juliastar! From a social media standpoint, you can go a variety of ways here. You can look at how social media affects the way organizations do business (social media policies). Or look at the risks involving social media security. Is there a way your leaning towards?
