 one way trust NTFS permissions
We have set up a one way trust with another company. Our domain is trusted by their domain. When they attempt to grant permissions on shares to our users, they receive a pop-up requiring logon credentials of a domain administrator in our domain. Is this by design or should the trusting domain be able to grant permissions to the trusted domains? users without this intervention?

Answer Wiki:
Hello, What your seeing is by design in the trust relationship. In a one-way trust relationship only the 'trusted' domain (A) will be able to access resources from the other (trusting) domain (B), but not the other way. If users in domain B require resources from domain A (your domain), then you will have to set a two-way trust to allow users from domain B access to those resources. Good luck!
