I suspect this is as MS likes to say a “feature” not a “problem” of the Outlook application. You are attempting to use one email account for multiple people and all the email addresses belong to this one account rather than different email accounts. Outlook was not designed to be used in this fashion. You could try asking for help from MS to get this working or to get an answer as to why it does not work as you wish it to.

I apologize for not being clearer. When I say accounts I mean email addresses and when I say mailboxes I mean folders and when I say rules I mean rules for the folders. See we have six different email addresses coming into Outlook 2007 at the same time: info@company.com, sally@company.com, sam@company.com, mark@company.com, gretchen@company.com, and stewart@company.com. This is because sometimes Sam is on vaction and Mark will handle his mail or Gretchen has just taken over shopping, but Stewart was doing it and gets those emails. (He can move them to Gretchen’s folder.)The problem is sometimes an outsider (i.e. john@trade.net) will send Sally, Info, and Stewart the an email, when we open Outlook 2007 there will be three copies of the exact same email in Sally or Info or Stewart’s mailbox (folder). The other two recipients will not receive this email at all. We can always look in each other’s folder for messages, but sometimes you won’t find anything because Sally is the president of the company and has emails going back two years in her folder and the sender does not remember when it was sent… for instance. The question is why do they go into one folder? And how can I change that from happening?

Please clarify your information. When you say you have rules to send email to different “boxes”, do you in fact mean different mail folders in one email account mailbo, or are you forwarding to different email accounts?
