I have 34 computers. In which 16 are P3
1.10 Ghz, Foxconn MB with various mb of ram viz. 128Mb, 256mb even 64mb
are also there..And rest r Intel P4 2.80 Ghz, original MB with 512 mb
ram. HDD r all 80 gb (some of them were replaced by new hdd). They r all loaded with mixed windows flavours like 98SE, XP. Now
I am trying to convert all the computers with Linux OS (SLED and
Fedora with only one to be a Server). Any one can help me to what
considerations shall I consider to do the job. I mean to say, with /
without change HW except ram for 16 computers.
Thanks to all !

Definitely, ur idea is considerable. The purpose of the computers to be used for old VB program as an EXE running via wine. This is based on accounting package. There r also some old DMPs for printing purpose.
Good, Xubuntu + wine will be enought for those task.
Hope you can do the conversion sucessfully.
Actually, I am using SuSE Linux + wine and the conversion is going on !
Thanks for ur healthy reply.
