 Office GPO installed with update?
I installed the Office 2007 Compatibility update to our users with Office 2003. Some of these users also have Office 2003. Some users are receiving a message : "You are attempting to open a file that was created in an earlier version of Microsoft Office. This file type is blocked this version by your registry policy setting." I have not created any GPOs for Office, and our users should be able to open ANY office document regardless of the version. I have looked at Microsoft's KB articles, but I cannot go to every computer and change their registry settings. Is there a way to change this setting on all computers in the domain without having to change them individually? I am not completely versed in the GPOs. I can create policies for passwords, logons etc, but when it comes to apps. I am lost. So if creating a GPO is the answer I will need step by step explicit instructions. Thanks!
