Hello, I want to obtain the CCSID information to all the *PGM objects that I have in the system. With the *DSPF Files I can use the DSPFD command with an *OUTFILE. But with DSPPGM I don?t have the possibility to send the result to a File (*OUTFILE), so the only way is to analyze the objects one by one. Does exist any way to make it `automatically?? Thank you.

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

you could print it and then copy the spoolfile to a database file with a CPYSPLF.

As you have probably found out by now, *PGM CCSID information is not very useful. *PGMs, at runtime, do not provide for CCSID conversion of literals to the job CCSID, OPM *PGMs generally do not provide for compile time CCSID normalization, and ILE *PGMs are usually tagged 65535 as the CCSID of literals is really determined by the *MODULE and an ILE *PGM can be created from a variety of different *MODULEs. The best way to determine, for ILE, if you have potential CCSID problems with *PGM objects is to review the *MODULE information. This can be done using DSPMOD (which does provide *OUTFILE support) or the List ILE Program Information API QBNLPGMI and List Service Program Information API QBNLSPGM.
