Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

I always quiesce the system see below

Prior to starting my unattended backup process I end the following subsystems:

QINTER, QSPL, QHTTPSVR, QSNADS, QSVCDRCTR, QSERVER and QUSRWRK.

I also end the Mail Server Framework via the ENDMSF command.

I’m now in a “quiesced state”…. Note, my backup process is still running in the QBATCH subsystem.

The collection object, *MGTCOL, serves as an efficient storage medium for large quantities of performance data. You should always include the message ID.

It looks that you are still running a PEX trace on your machine. So unless you still need this trace I would stop it (ENDPEX SSNID(*SELECT) OPTION(*END)) and then it is OK. If on the other hand you still need the PEX trace than quiescing the system would kill the trace or any other that you would think of just for the sake of having a backup of an incomplete trace. Better to look for the cause of the problem than handling the symptoms. And for running the backup jobs I would submit them in the controlling subsystem. Create a JOBD for your backup jobs to make sure this always happens. You can even perform a full system save in a scheduled batch job this way.
