 Recovering Oracle 10g Express data

My oracle 10g express eddition is curroped in my system and i install new oracle 10g express edition then how to recover my old data from a folder oraclexe.Plz Hepl me i am in big poblem

As far as this matter is concerned, if it was not backed up via a standard Oracle backup method, it could be possible the backup is no good, Oracle documentation for XE is pretty good for u. Oracle needs the parameter file to start up, if it not present u will have to manually recreate one…. the Control files tell Oracle where all of the data files are, without this, Oracle will not be able to do anything with the data files. Meanwhile, u may try with DBViewer tool
