Make sure that the computer isn't trying to boot off of a CD Rom/DVD that isn't a bootable disk (ie. remove any disk from the drive). If that doesn't do the trick get your install disk for Windows 2000/XP/Vista (which ever you are running) and put it in. Boot off the disk and go through the repair option and see if it can repair the installation and fix the boot problem. If it can't, as a last resort you may need to reinstall Windows. ----------------------- Try this solution. Try to disable floppy A in cmos......

If booting from an installation CD, the easiest thing to do would be to boot into (or load) the Recovery Console and run the “fixboot” and/or “fixmbr” commands. If these do not work, check your disk or array (use the disk mfgr’s tools if a stand alone disk, or the host bus adapter mfgr’s tools if this is an array) for issues (ie: verify your hardware) before attempting to run a full OS repair (as suggested above).

There’s nothing quite so frustrating as spending the time and effort to reun an OS repair only to find out that the underlying hardware is trashed….
