Lotus Notes v8.x doesn’t display application names

I keep a bunch of supplementary mail applications (.nsf files) that I use for my own archiving purposes. These have names like "Personal archive", "Job archive", etc., which is set in the application properties and is displayed on the application icon in the workspace. In prior versions of Notes (thru 7.0), that name also displayed on the tab when I opened the application. However, in v8.x, every such open tab says merely "Joe Brown - Mail", i.e., the same as my main mail file, making it difficult to quickly select the one I want. Does anyone know how to make Notes v8 behave like its predecessors in this regard?

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

Partial answer based on further information:

If I revert those supplementary mail databases to the v7 template, then their names are displayed on the tab when I open them, which means that this is merely an issue with the v8 template, which hopefully means I can find someone to modify the template to restore the old behavior. At least it’s not an issue with the base code.
