Notes clinet connective and upgrade problem

Lotus Domino
Hello, I am a lotus notes user in china. About three weeks ago, I encountered a problem with ID file in Lotus Notes. While I used a new created ID to connect our host server (In Australian) on R5, a wrong message server is no longer responding, but I switched to another ID created before a little bit, Notes was working well. These two IDs use the same location and server connection documents and stored in the same program. Our domino administrator said the ID was created as normal, but it really has problem in connection, could you please give me some advises and hints about it? Also, our domino server had upgraded to R6, so we want all of clients up to R6 too. But a serious problem is when one client upgrade to R6, the server will be unable to connect any more, (regardless upgrade from R5 or new installation of R6). But downgrade to R5, the server will be opened without any problem. One experience is if you changed the host server name optional in location document, the database on server can be opened unexpected; instead the correct host server name will be the unusable. Additional, when the R6 was running, it will infect and block all other R5 clients to connect the server at the same time in the network. I appreciate if you can help me with these problems. Thanks and Regards, Adam
