We have a report in form. Even though we have a number of records in the report, when asked to fetch next set, the system throws an informative message frm-40352 Last set of records retrieved. How do I deal with this type of situation? So when user asks to fetch the next set, we should not get this message and the next set of data should be retrieved.

Do you know or have access to the form's code?

That error code means that the application is trying to navigate past the last record retrieved by the query.  How to avoid it would depend on how the application was written.

How exactly is the application retrieving those sets of data?

Yes. I do have access to the form's code. There are two datablocks on the screen in which one is search and other one is a result set. So when the user searches on the search block, the result set is where we have this issue.

    Okay.

How is the form retrieving the records and what does the form when the user asks to fetch more records?

    Can you share some code?

Also, what forms version are you using?
