Hi
I'm not able to access shared folders on the network. I am able to ping the machines but not access it. I get no error msg. I have started all the appropriate services but still no difference. Others are able to access my machine.
Using Windows XP.
Please advice.
Thanks in advance.

To access other computers plz follow this:
a. Make firewall off all of the computers that u want to access
b. Go to the computer which u want to access and open Control Panel > Administrative Tools
> Local users and groups > Guest > right click then click properties > make active the
middle check box and sure other two ‘ll not checked > close it
c. Again right click on Guest > Set Password > next DB > just enter twice with blank and close
d. Now open Policy > on right hand side > select the very first option (Access computer on
Network……) and see the Everyone is listed close it
e. Again click Deny Access to Network…… and remove Guest
Now close everything and hope it will work for u. if the worst situation plz check for viruses of ur own computer.
