 Not able to access shared folder in XP
Windows XP, Windows XP folders
Not able to access shared folder in XP. When i try to open net work computer it is opening but shared folders are not opening?

2 things for you to check 1st make sure that the service for computer browser service is started and automatic.Check if the folder is already shared and the permission is givenFrom other computer, make sure computer browser service is started and automatic.from start–run– \\PC IP Address and hit enter

Are those shared folders visible ? What error message do you get when trying to access them ?  Is this a domain environment ?

Can you add some more details….such as what DOES happen when you try to access these files. Is there an error message, permission denied, or simply no response from the file folder? Do you have other networked resources (such as a printer) and if so, are you able to access it?
