We solve problems as a team -- this process doesn't feel team friendly
Phil

---------------------------

Wouldn't you like to reward your team members for their contributions/support ?
Recognizing other's value is very team friendly from my point of view.

Hi Phil,

We definitely understand that it's a team effort on IT Knowledge Exchange, which is why we're letting the community as a whole be involved in choosing a winner.

On the other hand, we think it's important to recognize members who consistently contribute well on the site. A LOT of members add value here, and we just want to recognize one of those members as we do with our other contests.

I’ll start off by nominating Kevin Beaver. His article Big Brother or lowly minion? Defining your role in IT got me thinking; that’s something all good articles should do.

ITKE   10345 pts.  |   Sep 23 2009  3:51PM GMT

Contest Update: We will be giving away five (5) $20 Amazon gift cards to members who nominate others on this page. Just one more reason to get involved!

Thanks for the shout out Mshen - you’re very kind!

I want to nominate Labnuke99 - it seems like he’s beat me to the punch with well thought out responses on practically every question I go to answer.

Keep up the good work guys!

Voodoovw   1720 pts.  |   Sep 23 2009  9:26PM GMT

Philpl1jb gets my vote. At 21,000+ points Phil rules.
Please use the $20 Amazon dollars to buy a couple books for your kids school though or better yet let’s make that Phil’s choice…
Vince

Thanks Kevin for the kind words - I feel like doing the same in return as you quite often complete the conversation with added clarity and focus.

I’ll also nominate BlankReg as he’s been dominating the networking section with great techinical answers. I’m confident he’s the most knowledgeable networking guru here.

I would like to nominate Gilly400. Martin has a lot of great technical programming knowledge and is the first one, mostly because he is in EUROPE and sees the questions long before any of us in the US :-), to give a great and indepth answer.

Satsho   1235 pts.  |   Sep 28 2009  4:22PM GMT

I second Voodoovw, Philpl1jb gets my vote too.

I would like to nominate: Gilly400. I’m sure he has helped many of us on SFTP for the AS400!

Buddyfarr   6835 pts.  |   Oct 20 2009  3:44PM GMT

I would also like to nominate MrDenny. He has always had good information to help others out.

Technochic   40210 pts.  |   Oct 20 2009  7:04PM GMT

Sloopy   1940 pts.  |   Oct 21 2009  1:44PM GMT

I, too would like to nominate Martin Gilbert (Gilly400). And not just because I envy his beard…

Carlosdl   29820 pts.  |   Nov 10 2009  5:26PM GMT

I’m really surprised that Mshen hasn’t been nominated yet, so I would like to nominate him.

He is certainly one of the most active members and his answers and comments are always helpful.

JennyMack   3330 pts.  |   Nov 11 2009  3:59PM GMT

I’d like to put in my two cents and nominate TomLiotta — he’s been the dark horse of the community lately, cleaning up the AS/400 section and earning the most Knowledge Points per week over the past few weeks. He’s expressed that he wants the community to shine, and I think that exemplifies what a star community member should be!

Really enjoying all of the nominations here… remember, this is the second to last week to get your nominations in!

Infiniumpro   115 pts.  |   Nov 12 2009  11:49PM GMT

I second the nomination fro Tom Liotta. We actually met onsite in Eugene OR about 15 years ago, but I see his name in the iseries and RPG forums far more than anyone else.

Perhaps a side benefit from the sluggish economy? ;-}

JennyMack   3330 pts.  |   Nov 23 2009  3:08PM GMT
