Hi,

Assumption: None of the ff exists

WebSphere Development Studio for iSeries
iSeries Tools - Application Development
ILE RPG
RPG/400
ILE RPG *PRV Compiler
ILE COBOL

If WDS license on iSeries is not available how can i do the ff:

1. Transfer object from one iSeries to another without using wrkobjpdm

2. Transfer source member without using wrkobjpdm

3. How do you view source members

Are there alternative commands and workaround for this kind of scenario?

Thank you

Not sure if my comments went through - they're certainly not showing.

    1) The SAVRSTxxx group of commands can be used to move/copy objects between iSeries.  Using a combination of save files and FTP can also be used.

    2) Source members are contained within a file.  The SAVRSTxxx commands can be used to move/copy the source file.

    3) DSPPFM can be used to view source members.

Say I got this situation where, I have 10 source member in the server, then I need to update only 3 members in the source. Is that possible in the SAVRSTxxx command?

Well, I'm logged in but my replies seem to end up in the bit box.

    Last attempt.

SAVRSTxxx commands work on objects, so copying/moving source file members is beyond their scope.

Create a new source file; copy/move the desired members to the new source file; use the SAVRSTxxx commands to copy/move the source file.

To view the Source member use command DSPF, to edit use EDTF

Another option we tried is create a DDM over the target/remote i-series source file. then do a CPYF mylib/myfile(mymbr) to the DDM.
