Answer Wiki:
That possibly mean that your HDD is basically got a mechanical fault wich may need replacement. the least you could do now is -HDD faulty (try another IDE HDD and do a fressh O.S install) -IDE slot via mainboard faulty (MoBo issue) -Check if HDD IDE or SATA is enabled from BIOS. -Could also double check if the HDD cable is OK. (you never know).. If you can use a spare Harddrive, and boot from it, and if can it read the your origional hdd? (Don’t forget to change the IDE disk jumpers to make it a slave.) If it can’t see the IDE, then the drive is more than likely unrecoverable... htp

There are a number of things which could have gone wrong that would present you with such an error…

- Does the hard drive show up in the BIOS?
- Are all cables connected correctly (fully inserted and no damage to cable)?
- Can you access the contents of the hard drive if you put it in a different PC? That would rule out the hard drive from physically being an issue.

If the drive is fine, then you may be dealing with controller/motherboard issues.

First check the BIOS, if the HDD is shown / not…. if it shows, u may use Windows 7 Rescue Disk to get back the all !
