I know the GUI affected me very much. I bought a brand new Apple Macintosh SE when they first came out back in 1987. It cost more than my car at the time but I had an overwhelming desire to learn about computers. I taught myself on that wonderful little Mac and have never looked back. I still fondly remember it had a glorious 9-inch monochrome display and a mighty 20MB hard drive. How things have changed since, eh?]]></description>
