How would the use of computers be affected if there were no GUIs and all operating systems still used a command-driven interface?

If there were no GUIs and all operating systems still used a command-driven interface they would probably be used to develop some sort of “graphical interface” for “users”

    It's probably safe to say that there would be far less "common folks" using personal computers, if not for the mainstreaming of the GUI. I know the GUI affected me very much. I bought a brand new Apple Macintosh SE when they first came out back in 1987. It cost more than my car at the time but I had an overwhelming desire to learn about computers. I taught myself on that wonderful little Mac and have never looked back. I still fondly remember it had a glorious 9-inch monochrome display and a mighty 20MB hard drive. How things have changed since, eh?
