how do I get my outlook to automatically format a 10-digit phone number to add parantheses and hyphen when I enter just the 10 digits?

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

Try this:

Open Contacts
Select Actions
Click “Call contact” (you might have to expand the drop down menu to see this)
Select “new call”
Click “Dialing Options” button
make sure that “Automatically add country code to local phone numbers.” is checked.

Another thing to try would be recreating the dialing properties location by going to your phone and modem options in the control panel.

First Remove all the old dialing properties locations by clicking REMOVE, in the “I am dialing from” Then click NEW and re-enter you country/region and area code, then click OK.
