Remote desktop access

site 1 and site 2 are members of stt.com.  servers in site 1 have normal connections, share access to a data server is available to site 2, remote desktop is functional to data server, upgrading of antivirus fine.

Sometime later in the day, connection to shared access is lost from site 2( not everyday, and not at the same time each day), remote desktop is not available. Access to share at site 1 is not affected as you can remote into any computer from site 1 to site1, share access is available site 1 to site 1.  Antivirus updating is shut down.

Rebooting of server restores the remote desktop and share connections site 1 to side 2. Or you can just go into the server on site 1 and open the nic card advanced properties and reset anything and reinitiate the nic card and it all works fine

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
