Hi, I am working in a Technical Service desk/Call Center for the last 5 years. I support landlines, mobile, manage data products, Cisco routers, VoIP etc. I really want to change my job and want some growth in my career. I am thinking to do ITIL certifications so that I can go further in Service Management, Release manager positions. Could someone please assist me and tell me what would be my best options? I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

While you mentioned your professional cattier, but did not mention your academic qualifications/technical qualifications. According to your work environment assuming you are from science background and try to change your carrier. ITIL is for IT service management and type of framework. Assuming you are asking some good guidance, but have doubt, this is not possible from this side here. According to your professional experience, you can go for that. For your assistance, please link here, http://www.itilcertification.org/

But you can contact a good educational institute for face to face discussions and this can help to take more good decision. Also you can learn SAP contact center software for your good future.

There are so many areas you can go in. The best thing is to think of what you want to be doing say 10 - 15 years down the road. If you like constant change and can afford the continuous schooling needed then pick what makes you happy. You may not see a lot of people today staying in the same field like when I attended college back in the 80's. Back then there were far fewer choices in the IT career industry that is why some of us have been programming for 30 years or more.

Moreover as you worked as support based job, you can also consider for Microsoft certification for your first IT related learning (you did not mention whether you done any certification). This can help to cope up for more complicated certifications which can be found here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-in/learning/mcitp-certification.aspx

How about IT audit or information security? I'm biased towards the latter but it sure is fun and there's plenty of demand!

Since you are already supporting routers and networking, why don't you think about certification in network security that has a high demand on global front.
