new web site – adding to search engines and improve ranking.
I recently built a new website. I have written an XML sitemap and submitted it to Google & Bing. Both accepted and it should be getting visits from their robots. I also, added it to about 12 other search engines. Can you recommend improving visibility and ranking for searching? I added meta tag keywords and an H1 tag to the main headers. I submitted this question before but, when I attempt to check on it I receive "page not found". I don't know what happened to my original question. You can see it but, it is not accessible.

Search engines are not paid for organic search traffic, and as their algorithms change, there are no guarantees of continued referrals. Because of this lack of guarantees and certainty, a business that relies on search engine traffic can see noticable losses if the search engines stop sending visitors. These search engines can change their algorithms, which impacts a website’s placement, possibly resulting in a heavy loss of traffic.  It might be wise to depend less on search engine traffic, and look towards links from other websites as the main sources of traffic.
