 New HDD install on RAID 1
HDD, RAID, RAID 1
What will happen if one of my raid 1 hdd spoilt ? Can i just simply install a new hdd in either slot & it will auto copy the files to my new hdd ?

It would depend on what tools you had. How the RAID set was built. With a hardware based RAID set, you would be more likely to just plug out the HDD, but with both hardware and software based raid configurations, I would go through the procedure that the vendor has. At some point the disks need to be informed that their partner is being replaced.
