Hi all, I have recnetly get my mcsa2003 certification and looking to enter in cisco arena, but confused which track to chose security, wirless or voice. I personally dont consider myself well for security are then 2 left, can anyone advise which is the best in context of future prospective. Wireless or Voice. Also can anyone confirm that to go into new ccna certification path only ccent is sufficient not the whole ccna.. Thanks

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

With no other information from you, I would go for the voice cert over wireless.

VoIP is the real growth, and will keep the same sort of technology for the forseeable future.

Wireless systems are changing to mesh and WiMAX systems, and possibly others on the horizon.

So I think the Voice one will be the better one long term.

Looking on the certification tracking system , it looks like you need the full CCNA + the voice or wireless to get these certifications.

Agreed Blank – Get the CCNA R/S (routing and switching) first, as the rest of the Cisco tracks are based on the CCNA. Voice is a great choice, or you can go deeper and hit the CCNP R/S

I think you're right on Blank. In my market the majority of our business is driven by voice sales and I definitely don't see that slowing down any time soon.
