networking groups

Networking, Career development

To "Buddyfarr" or anyone who can answer this. Buddy you answered a question from a guy(Networking ATE) trying to get his foot in the door with his CCNA on March 12. One of your suggestions was to join a social networking group in his area. My question is how do you go about finding these groups? I am new to my area and thought your suggestion is a good idea to increase my chances of getting a better job down the road.

Contact any local IT training centers or resellers in the area. They are likely to have staff members who either participate in these organizations or know where they might be located. I wish you luck! I know the same feeling after moving to an area where these groups seem non-existent from an area where technology support groups were easy to find.
