Hi Debra,
If you printer doesn't have a wireless or Ethernet jack on it, you need a print server to connect it to a LAN. Two options to do this:
1) you connect it to a PC or server then share it on the network
2) you buy a dedicated print server device that connects it to the network via wireless or ethernet, like this
Netgear USB Print Server. I hope that helps!
